Spartan WINS Best Digital Innovation Of The Year Award 2020
Spartan Solutions Ltd., (Spartan) PHALANX Digital Operations platform has won the European Rental Associations 2020 Best Digital Innovation of the Year award.
The Spartan nomination recognises the partnership achieved with Ramirent Norway’s team to deliver the first phase of RamiFlow, a project to digitise their equipment rental logistics and service processes. RamiFlow is built on Spartan’s PHALANX Digital Operations platform; an enterprise mobility solution developed for large Equipment Rental companies.
The awards are jointly run by the European Rental Association and International Rental News magazine.
RamiFlow was rolled out across Norway in 2019 and delivered the following results:
- A 50% reduction in equipment turnaround time.
- A 45% increase in billable services.
- A 40% decrease in credit notes caused by incorrect return dates.
- A 32% reduction in time taken to record an equipment service.
- Streamlined damage handling to improve damage recovery revenue.
- A single source of truth for all equipment interactions.
Jim Green, Spartan CEO, said “This award is a testament to the combined Spartan and Ramirent project team delivery team, who configured our core PHALANX product to Ramirent’s logistics processes and successfully rolled it out across more than 60 Locations in 9 months.”
Oyvind Emblem, Group EVP for Ramirent Norway, said “The project significantly boosted our capability in six critical measures, which was impressive. We are now rolling out the solution and working on the next set of targets to further improve our performance.”
Thomas Allen, Editor of International Rental News, said “The digital innovation award was one of the most fiercely contested categories, reflecting the increased focus on digitisation by rental companies, especially now as they recover from the pandemic. The judges said the quality of entries was extremely high and they were impressed in particular by the results achieved by Ramirent Norway using Spartan Solutions’ PHALANX operations platform.”
Three other companies and products were shortlisted for the award: CheckMobile for their Artificial Intelligence based damage detection software, Intrador for their equipment valuation app and Riwal for their Augmented Reality training app.
