Spartan and ecom partnership opens doors for oil and gas industry

SPARTAN Solutions has partnered with ecom to offer mobile applications for industrial operations on the world’s first intrinsically safe Zone 1/Division 1 Android tablet computer.

PHALANX, the app store for operations, is now available on ecom’s Tab‐Ex®, a family of tablets that has been developed for use in Zone 1/Division 1, Zone 2/Division 2 and rugged environments across Oil & Gas, Refining, Chemical, Pharmaceuticals and other hazardous industries.

Tab‐Ex® is built on the Samsung GALAXY Tab Active platform and triggers a paradigm shift in mobile worker productivity in the petrochemical industry. For the first time, technicians working in hazardous areas do not need to rely on paper, emails and faxes and can safely access works orders, data forms, documents, drawings and diagrams electronically via mobile apps.

Spartan’s PHALANX solution is an integrated operations software application that combines RFID/barcode technology, operational mobility and integration with back-office systems on a single software platform. The PHALANX mobile solution eradicates the risk of paperwork errors, allows technicians to manage work and equipment on easy to use apps that don’t require constant data connectivity.
