A new age of productivity in hazardous areas
Improve productivity and increase wrench time with Spartan Solutions and Ecom
Last month Spartan Solutions teamed up with leading mobile safety company ecom in a partnership that will launch PHALANX Industrial Apps on the world’s first intrinsically safe Zone 1/Division 1 Android devices. The partnership will allow industries such as Oil & Gas, Refining and Chemicals to use Spartans innovative PHALANX Apps running on ecom’s durable Tab-Ex® in the most hazardous of areas.
The Tab-Ex® is based on Samsung’s rugged GALAXY Tab Active Platform. Ground-breaking engineering from ecom’s experienced team has resulted in a new evolutionary approach, and several new patents, to deliver a unique combination of electronic and mechanical protection never before seen for mobile computing products.
Spartan’s PHALANX solution includes a range of industrial apps that combine RFID/barcode technology, operational mobility and integration with back-office systems on a single software platform. Technicians working in some of the most inhospitable environments can now access PHALANX apps to increase productive wrench time and improve industrial plant and equipment reliability.
The partnership was announced at Offshore Europe 2015 in September, and a webinar will be held by Spartan’s COO John Glen and ecom’s MD Carl Henderson at the end of this month. The webinar, which is complimentary, will take a detailed look at how Tab-Ex® and PHALANX will transform Wrench Time for operators and oilfield service providers and is followed by a Q&A session.
Key learning objectives:
- Understanding the impact of historic cost inflation on the late life prospects for the North Sea
- Identifying the root causes of cost inflation (with an analysis of wrench time productivity)
- A demonstration of the Spartan mobile productivity tools running on the ecom intrinsically safe Android tablet.
- Analysis of the projected increase in wrench time and the subsequent return on investment for operators and oilfield service and equipment providers
