This series of short blogs is taken from a presentation I was asked to give at a rental conference in the US earlier this year. The subject of my presentation was “Maximizing the efficiency of rental operations using mobile technology.” Although focused on the rental market, the information in the presentation applies to any company interested in improving their operations.
Having been in computing the vast majority of my working life and mobile software for 14 years of that, I wanted to give the attendees truthful, down to earth and ultimately helpful advice (perhaps a bit controversial in parts) on the do’s and don’ts of mobile software solutions for their business.
At best, it will give you a guide to better decision making and an understanding of what a mobile solution can, and won’t do, for your business. At least, it might help you avoid some of the glaring and very costly mistakes I have seen some companies make over the years.
